Neighbors Helping Neighbors

In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the GCCA COVID-19 Response Committee undertook a phone banking effort to connect our members and other neighbors to important services available to help weather this pandemic. Committee members Luis Bravo, Frank Allegra and some friends made over 200 calls to GCCA members and other folks in our community. They were able to inform around 150 people about the Philadelphia Mutual Aid Program and about the application for the Philadelphia Emergency Rental Assistance Fund.  Along the way, they had many meaningful conversations with people in our community who were thankful of the information we were sharing and some who were even interested in doing their part to help the community by volunteering. A special thanks again to Luis and Frank for performing this important community service!
