Help Transform the Garden Court Tennis Court and Community Garden!

Join us on Friday, September 21st from 3:30 PM- 6:30 PM as we kickoff the Corner Park Renovation project and celebrate the new lighted bus shelter on the SW corner of 47th and Spruce St.

The new bus shelter is the first step in the multi-year plan to redesign and renovate the community tennis courts and gardens located behind the shelter. Last spring the Community Design Collaborative conducted a community input process that resulted in a professionally-prepared plan and diagram for the redesign that will be on display at the event.

Schedule of activities:

3:30 – 4:00 Tennis Rally-Thon Demonstration

4:00 – 4:30 Ribbon Cutting with local dignitaries

4:30 – 6:30 Dance Party, pizza, face painting, bulb sale, 50/50 raffle, voter registration.

A major fundraising effort for this project will begin this fall. Neighbors are urged to lend their support and keep updated on the redesign of what is being called “Corner Park” by getting on the Friends of Corner Park email list – to do so, send an email to Rnissimsabat@gmail.com
